Job DescriptionWhat you can expect in this role:
An IT Support Technician is the backbone of all computer-related technology within the business(es) and site(s) they support. Your primary responsibility is to provide support of Avery Dennison’s endpoint computing and site infrastructure in The Netherlands; be the Local ‘Smart hands’ as well as providing continuous improvement to Avery Dennison’s technology and processes.
Primary responsibilities:
Manage and support endpoint devices (Laptop, desktop, mobile devices, printers, thin clients) throughout their lifecycle. Including provisioning, refresh, asset management and decommission
Provide ‘smart-hand’ support at the site.
Follow ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) processes such as change, incident and problem management
Comply to and execute SOX controls
Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve issues
Install, upgrade and replace selected software and hardware products according to Avery Dennison standards
Deliver training on Avery Dennison’s software and computer systems; this can include group presentations, one-on-one training, and onboarding
Support local OT (Operation-Technologie) for the Manufacturing- Area
Support local Infrastructure (LAN/WAN, Servers, Wifi, etc.)
QualificationsBSc/High School diploma or equivalent required
Information Technology courses or certification(s) required
A Bachelor’s degree in business or technology field preferred
Good communication skills in English and Dutch language
3+ years related experience
3-5 years performing routine software installations and program updates
3-5 years performing routine troubleshooting and problem resolution on computer, server, network and telecommunication systems
Understanding and experience with information systems environments and systems; understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Google suite, function specific software, and networking and server infrastructure.
Ability to travel to support other sites/Projects when needed
A valid driving license
