Job Description
Team Mission: Join our User Technology (UT) team at Wise, where we create a seamless experience by offering all the necessary tools and permissions for people to do their best work and avoid being speed blockers. Our highly mobile, geographically diverse work environment includes more than 20 offices of varying sizes. UT comprises autonomous teams that build and maintain everything needed to support our company mission, including device management, conferences and events, network infrastructure, service management, and user access management within various engineering and support functions. You will work in a smaller group within a global team, primarily in the Austin office, but also supporting other locations in the Americas, including Tampa, New York, Mexico City, and São Paulo, Brazil. Additionally, you will provide support to co-workers traveling or working from anywhere outside the office.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for Wisers seeking assistance.
Manage procurement, assets, and inventory of laptops, monitors, printers, and other peripheral tech accessories.
Identify and suggest potential areas for improvement.
Be an encyclopedia on Wise’s IT products and services.
Troubleshoot and repair computer hardware and software issues.
Educate users and colleagues on tools, tech, and security at Wise.
Manage provisioning and deprovisioning of devices.
Assist other teams within UT.
Participate in internal projects aimed at continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Experience providing IT support for Windows and/or Mac OS environments.
Enjoy helping people and solving problems by nature.
An assertive communicator who is also flexible and eager to learn.
Identify pain points and run improvement initiatives to completion.
Possess a great sense of humor and the ability to work under pressure.
Passionate about computing and user experience.
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team as the situation requires.
Researching solutions and the latest technology is second nature.
Additional Information
This is a hybrid position based in Austin, Texas, and is not remote.
Must already be legally authorized to work in the US, as this role cannot support visas.
