The IT Services Division of the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare seeks a talented and experiencedWindows Server Administrators (IT Systems & Infrastructure Engineer IV )to provide leadership in the design, development, implementation, qualification, support, and operation of complex integrated system solutions inBoise.
These positions require technical skills in planning, design and maintenance of critical enterprise server infrastructure and experience with network infrastructure integration of enterprise application servers, application delivery controllers and unified communication and collaboration systems.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
+ Providing hands-on Windows Server administration on a large production environment.
+ Participates in design, and contributes to technical insights and ideas while anticipating implementation obstacles and developing plans to address them.
+ Analysis of cross-technology and cross-platform issues.
+ Providing input into the technology plan for the organization and ensures that plans are integrated effectively with other aspects of the technical infrastructure.
+ Provides Technical Leadership within the Team and provides consultation services to project teams on areas of expertise.
+ Administration of Microsoft Active Directory and Active Directory Policies.
+ Planning, installing, maintaining and troubleshooting ESXi, vSphere and vCenter technology stacks.
+ Working with end users to develop and implement information technology solutions for user computing needs in a business environment.
+ Management and utilization of Monitoring and Observability Platforms.
+ Participates in the design of cloud computing architectures with the understanding of various concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Considerable knowledge of current information technology trends and capabilities.Typically gained by a bachelor's degree directly related to information technologyORat least four years of full time work experience in information technology. Education and experience must be within the last five years.
+ Experience planning, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting more than one element of architectural/infrastructure systems (e.g., network, server or storage systems).Typically gained by six or more years of full time work experience where you planned, installed, maintained and troubleshot more than one element of architectural/infrastructure systems such as network, server or storage systems as part of your primary job responsibilities.
+ Experience resolving network or server problems.Typically gained by six or more years of full time work experience where you resolved network or server problems as part of your primary job responsibilities.
+ Experience working with end users to develop and implement information technology solutions for user computing needs in business environment.Typically gained by at least six years of full time work experience interviewing and consulting with clients/users to develop and implement solutions to meet computing requirements in a business environment as a primary responsibility of the job.
+ Experience as a project leader and team member on a multi-phase project.Typically gained by work experience as an active team member in at least one major project of six months duration or longer.
Below is preferred experience. It is not required for the position but applicants with this experience may receive consideration over other applicants.
+ Experience in Microsoft Windows Server Administration in an enterprise level environment.Typically gained by at least five years of experience within the last ten years.
+ Experience in the VMWare technology stack: ESXi, vSphere, vCenter, Horizon. Typically gained by at least five years of experience within the last ten years, eight years, preferred.
+ Experience managing Cisco UCS server infrastructure. Typically gained by at least three years of experience within the last six years.
+ Experience in Backup and Recovery infrastructure. Typically gained by at least three years of experience within the last six years experience with the Veeam product line preferred.
+ Experience in a Microsoft 365 environment. Typically gained by at least three years of experience within the last six years.
