The expected annual salary range for this role is $108749.97 - $159499.96 a year.

What you’ll do:Job Summary
This position is responsible for defining and communicating a shared architectural vision for a simple product that enables them to support current and future needs of the business. This position is responsible for managing the infrastructure of engineering applications including PLM applications such as Enovia ( preferred) ,Windchill, Teamcenter. This resource is responsible for deploying the code, installing engineering software and applying patches, executing the system upgrades and maintaining a secure and stable environment.
They will collaborate with Agile teams to consider solutions, validate technology assumptions, evaluate alternatives, and converge on a solution.
Finally, the System Architect will work closely with Enterprise and Solution Architects to deliver solutions that are aligned to the broader architecture guardrails.
* This Hybrid role must report on-site 3 days a week at any of the posted Eaton locations.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in the planning, definition, development, and high-level design of product solutions and architectural alternatives
- Enable a continuous delivery pipeline through proper design guidelines
- Define and communicate system interfaces, data structures, data storage, integrations, cybersecurity considerations, test automation concepts, and deployment approaches
- Establish and communicate critical nonfunctional requirements
- Consider the impact economic boundaries have on design decisions and operate accordingly
- Participate in solution planning, incremental planning, product demos, and inspect and adapt events
- Plan and develop the architectural runway for a product that supports desired business outcomes
- Provide technical oversight and encourage security, quality, and automation
- Effectively negotiate with the business to ensure nonfunctional work (e.g. patching, platform upgrade etc.) is properly prioritized and worked on to reduce the accumulation of technical debt over time
- Build, support, enhance, and automate software builds for Enovia application using a combination of processes and tools
- Set up, maintain, and monitor all of Enovia EFCS servers worldwide to ensure maximum availability
- Implement security best practices to keep application environments as secure as possible. Coach others on security best practices
- Monitor and maintain backup scripts ensuring critical data is backed up from every EFCS worldwide,
Basic Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 7+ years supporting Corporate IT System Architecture initiatives while communicating globally with Enterprise and Solution Architects.
• 3+ years experience managing the infrastructure of any PLM applications such as Enovia ( preferred), Windchill, Teamcenter.
• Only candidates currently living within a 50-mile radius of posted geographical areas will be considered for this role .
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Extensive experience building, deploying, upgrading and configuring technologies across any PLM application, preferably Enovia.
• Experience with Linux, Windows server operating systems, programming languages and their associated development platforms.
• Experience developing enterprise grade, highly scalable, highly performant applications and/or distributed systems.
• Experience working with a cloud platform such as Azure, AWS, or GCP. Certification is a plus.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as encryption, hashing, certificates, PKIs, Threat Modeling, secure coding, and OWASP.
• Experience working with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban
• Experience with products like OnePart, Exalead, Clarity, MBSE tools is a plus
• Solid understanding of DevSecOps, CI, and CD principles from code check-in through to deployment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain and present technical concepts.
• Comfortable working directly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Good judgment, time management, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively on a technical team.
• Patience and empathy when working with developers and testers.
• Experience working with diverse, global cultures, organizations and teams.
