About This Opportunity We are looking for a senior IT Systems Application Analyst II with a payments/fintech background to join the team! In this role, you will be responsible for creating SQL queries, interpreting SQL scripts, continuously monitoring assigned platforms for performance, providing high-level design for data flows, engaging in deployments, and collaborating with cross functional teams to best enhance platforms and support our customers. As an senior IT Systems Application Analyst, you will also serve as an owner of the platforms and be knowledgeable of all operational and maintenance activities up to monitoring the efforts. This role is great for you if you have experience in the payments industry, and you have the proven ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions This is a remote position; preferred locations include Omaha, NE, Atlanta, GA, and Dallas, TX. Responsibilities Continuously monitor assigned platforms for performance and operational excellence ensuring established SLAs are maintained and contributes recommendations for process and/or platform improvements Exhibit a sense of ownership for assigned platform(s), and maintain/grow the knowledgebase of Clients, Merchants, and Users serviced by the platform Periodically survey platform customers to gage and drive improvements in customer satisfaction, where appropriate Create complex SQL queries and understand SQL scripts to enhance the platform and support customers. Parse, analyze and understand system log files Subject matter expert on payment message formats and data file formats associated with assigned platforms. Proactively monitor the performance of assigned platforms and raise potential performance or reliability issues to development and support teams to investigate / address, to avoid impact on system availability/customer experience Plan and coordinate payment solutions and enhancements with the development team Meet and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to establish project scope, system goals, and requirements Provide high-level design for data and message flows and write detailed technical requirements including non-functional requirements and associated design constraints/considerations for security, performance, reliability, and maintainability. Collaborate with QA testing in the research and writing of test cases along with participating in system testing Engaged in production deployment for coordination and verification as the owner of the platform Owner of platform and knowledgeable of all operational and maintenance activities up to monitoring the efforts Create and maintain platform documentation including process flows, design/architecture, operational playbooks, escalation procedures, and training materials as needed.
