IT Systems Analyst Senior

Come be a part of what makes us so special! **The Opportunity** We are looking for a dedicated IT Systems Analyst Senior to support the ECIO Delta Team within the Strategy Planning and Business Agility Group. The candidate selected will provide internal specialized consultant advisory services to improve performance, implement solutions, and engage organizational resolution towards a specific business need or opportunity. Serving in a consultant advisory capacity, you will engage with multiple functional areas or across the Enterprise to provide the business and our key stakeholders a clear, unbiased real-time result that drives value and builds organizational efficiency. The team focus will be geared towards problem solving across Enterprise IT, advancing foundational technology principles rooted within the USAA Technology Strategy and driving organizational optimization. Provides liaising services between business and IT delivery functions for the purpose of enabling the on-boarding, enhancement and support of systems, applications and other technology solutions. Assesses evolving business requirements to include establishing, evaluating and validating technical requirements. Recommends alternatives and/or enhancements to existing technology solutions. Researches and helps resolve production issues and defects. We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be **in the office 4 days per week.** This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Charlotte, NC. Relocation assistance is **not** available for this position. **What you'll do:** + Serves as a SME for business topics for multiple IT delivery functions. + Serves as a conduit between IT delivery functions and the business functions through which their technical requirements flow. + Employs creativity, ingenuity, and innovation in the search for technology solutions designed to support analyses and business need. + Proactively communicates and collaborates with customers on the analysis of business needs and requirements to deliver solution artifacts as needed. + Leads analysis and verification of technical requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformance to standards. + Leads traceability of approved and base lined artifacts through the software development life cycle to include specifications, design, development, testing, implementation and defect prioritization. + Provides guidance and review of test artifacts to ensure coverage of testable requirements. + Provides certification and actively participates in defect management activities to confirm requirements are being met. + Contributes to project successes by partnering with Program Management to understand program plans and strategy. + Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures. **What you have:** + Bachelor’s Degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree. + 6 years of related work experience such as business and/or project management, business/system requirements, and technical analysis. + Advanced knowledge of multiple software delivery life cycles (Waterfall and Agile). + Advanced working knowledge of business productivity products, tools and applications. + Advanced understanding of system architecture and knowledge of software development concepts. + Experience of modeling techniques (e.g.UML) and use case development as well as experience with one or more software development frameworks. **What sets you apart:** + Strong, validated experience with leadership, business, problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills in financial services or another highly regulated industry + Experience with various IT driven systems, platforms, or vendors + Proven understanding of technology design and architecture principles + Experience with business technology optimization programs, creating structured technological strategies + Problem-solving abilities with an analytical mindset + US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner The above description reflects the details considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job and should not be construed as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be performed in the job. **What we offer:** **Compensation:** USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
