The IT Team Leader provides leadership and direction to a technical team (regional or global) responsible for a functional area or technology, delivering superior customer service and execution of the department's objectives and support activities.
Job Responsibilities:
You will perform managerial activities such as hiring, performance management processes, associate development, department staffing, budgeting, communicating, and enforcing policies and procedures. You will determine specific resources and skills required for ongoing activities and provide leadership to staff on all projects within the area of responsibility. You will provide coaching and encourage career development, growth, and success for direct reports. You will maintain an aggregate view of customer demand for IT support versus IT resource capacity. You will Assign production support (Steady State Maintenance) tasks to application development resources. You will design & use management reports for resource utilization to maximize the utilization of IT resources, based on priority and & skill set. Manages the review, selection & implementation of relevant resource planning tools You will provide architectural recommendations, research and proactively recommend tools, resources, and new technology to satisfy operational requirements and customer needs. Works collaboratively and acts as a trusted technology advisor for the business leader of the function. You will plan, coordinate, and schedule assignments and projects with subordinates, and participate in establishing tactical plans on a global level.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS, Engineering, or related discipline. Masters Degree is a plus 10+ years of technical experience in a variety of IT disciplines gaining a conceptual knowledge of information technologies and methodologies, including successfully developing and implementing applications and/or infrastructure systems using new and emerging technologies. Demonstrated competency in the execution of multiple projects, including managing resources across multiple projects to meet goals Advanced knowledge of the IT field and in-depth knowledge of more than one specialty area. Advanced knowledge of management principles. Recognized as a technical expert in one or more IT disciplines. Knowledge relating to network, communications, hardware/software, web tools, enterprise system management, technologies, tools & trends. Necessary leadership, team building, motivation, & delegation skills. Can assess skills, anticipate development needs, and promote learning. Recognize, evaluate & establish change initiatives Excellent presentation skills Strong analytical skill
