Description We are looking for a dedicated IT Tech to join our client's team in LaVergne, Tennessee. In this role, you will provide comprehensive technical and administrative support for a range of hardware and software, ensuring seamless operation for end users. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to develop and apply your expertise in IT hardware and systems. This role is a second shift position from 4 pm - 1 am, Monday-Friday. Responsibilities: • Administer, configure, and repair laptops, including diagnosing hardware issues and replacing components as needed. • Perform Windows Systems Administration tasks across workstation platforms, including adding new systems to the network and domain. • Set file and folder permissions to ensure secure and efficient access. • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for laptops, network devices, and other equipment. • Install and configure user workstations with required applications and software updates. • Manage printer installations, including LaserJet and Zebra models, and troubleshoot connectivity issues. • Provide first-level technical support to end users, assisting with software operations and resolving connectivity problems. • Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability. • Document processes and procedures to facilitate efficient troubleshooting and knowledge sharing. • Assist with cabling projects, including Ethernet and serial installations, as well as barcode scanner configurations. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a client/server environment within a small to medium-sized business. • Certifications such as A+ and Net+ are required; additional IT certifications or an associate degree in information technology are advantageous. • Familiarity with Cisco switch configurations and Windows operating systems ranging from Windows 7 to Windows 11. • Knowledge of Windows Server versions from 2003 to 2019 and experience with Microsoft Exchange. • Proficiency with Active Directory and standard network protocols, including TCP/IP, routing, and wireless connectivity. • Ability to tip and punch Ethernet cables and perform cabling tasks safely. • Competency using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio. • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and operate lifts for cabling projects.
