 This IT/AV Technician is responsible for providing technical assistance, support and advice to hotel staff and guests using computers, peripherals and audiovisual equipment. The IT-AV tech will install, configure, prepare, arrange, operate, diagnose, inspect maintain, and repair equipment such as laptops, desktops, point of sales, microphones, video recorders, projectors, lighting, sound and other property equipment. Trains assigned personnel in simple equipment operation. This candidate will help determine the IT needs and is responsible for implementing business applications to fulfill demand requirements. Will also manage and optimize industry standard systems to maximize property operations

What you have 

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience2-5 years of experience working in ITExcellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systemsExcellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritizeFirm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practicesUnderstanding of Hotel Guest Facing technologies such as PMS, POS systems

 What you’ll do 

Troubleshoot and provide solutions to hotel guest facing systems such as PMS and POSWork with vendors and for new hardware and softwareTroubleshoot hardware and software issuesEffective communication with property executives and corporate staff to convey issues and or possible solutions necessaryAssists with Audio visual setups, troubleshooting, and maintaining AV equipmentAnalyze and report on support data to determine the best practices solutionsManage IT ticketing process and provide accurate reporting for trend analysisReceive, configure, install and support computer hardware and peripherals in a networked environmentTroubleshoot, diagnose and repair hardware and software issues for users in their workspaceAssist the Network Administrator and other IT staff in the roll-out of network, operating system and software upgrades and patches as those requirements ariseUse common hand tools, diagnostic and predictive software and tools to perform routine maintenance and upgrades on computers, peripherals and network hardware and appliancesResponsible for maintaining a clean, safe and hazard free work environmentPerform other departmental duties as may be required by Management
