An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Project Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO) team on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract. In this pivotal role, you will lead and deliver projects focused on infrastructure, network and architecture, driving improvements across Turning Point’s IT systems. From implementing robust IT infrastructures and upgrading networks to designing architecture solutions and managing service transitions, your work will enable long-term organisational success.

This role offers the flexibility of remote working, with occasional visits to our offices in London or Manchester for key meetings and collaborate onsite at various locations across the UK as required to support project delivery. An immediate start is preferred.
Role ResponsibilityAs a Technical Project Manager, you will:
Manage the end-to-end delivery of projects focused on IT infrastructure, network upgrades, and architectural design, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the agreed quality standards. Lead technical implementations, including SD-WAN rollouts, Zero Trust security frameworks and technologies, data centre migrations, and service transitions. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and success criteria, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Develop and execute detailed project plans, proactively managing risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery. Work closely with technical teams to create and review service and technical design documentation. Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders and project teams, ensuring expectations are met and project progress is clearly communicated. Embed quality assurance and continuous improvement practices into all project activities, ensuring a focus on delivering long-term value. Support post-implementation reviews, capturing lessons learned and sharing best practices to enhance future projects. The Ideal CandidateWe’re looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager who is:
Proficient in project management methodologies such as Prince2, MSP, or Agile PM (certifications beneficial). Skilled in stakeholder and relationship management, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels. Experienced in delivering IT projects, such as infrastructure upgrades, data migrations, or service transitions. Knowledgeable in IT architecture and infrastructure, including SD-WAN, Zero Trust, and HPE Aruba networks. Familiar with tools like SharePoint architecture and corporate data centre management. A confident communicator who blends support with constructive challenge to inspire teams and stakeholders. Passionate about continuous improvement, driving efficiencies, and fostering a culture of innovation.
