IT Technical specialist
The Technical Analyst is responsible for the proper coordination of vendor, client and LabCorp to ensure successful implementation of reference lab interfaces between client and LabCorp. **Duties & Responsibilities:** + Executes and documents Interface Test Plans. Carries out vendor to vendor testing with client/vendor(s) or third party vendor(s). + Consults with the client and /or vendor as needed to test, implement the reference lab interface. + Maintains knowledge of status of all interfaces under installation, providing such information as requested. + Reviews problems encountered during interface testing phases to determine if original specifications must be revised to accommodate requests by the client + Assists the client and provides technical support during integrated testing of foreign system interfaces and/or reference lab interfaces + Consults with programmers and product teams as needed to complete implementation and delivery of interfaces and accurately documents quality testing and support to the client + Complies with all approved procedures, directives and guidelines + Performs other duties as assigned + Successful interaction/communication with LabCorp external and internal clients + Client system maintenance as necessary + Troubleshooting issues related to LabCorp and clients LIS + Builds/Validates client test tables, files and or setups **Requirements:** + Four year degree in a Healthcare or Computer Science related field. Bachelor of Science Degree or Associate's Degree in Medical Technology is extremely desirable. + Health care experience resulting in a broad understanding of the clinical laboratory environment and operations + Previous Labcorp experience within IT operations is required. + Designed, installed, validated, and maintained interfaces for a clinical laboratory or related setting + Experience with understanding HL7 interface requirements/specifications + Previous experience in the usage, file building, and troubleshooting of a laboratory information system is required + Previous experience in a service related field clinical laboratory, or related computer position desired. + Knowledge and use of the Remedy/Heat Ticketing tools. + Strong understanding of HL7 standards and interface engines + Ability to keep documentation up to date + Microsoft Office Application expertise + Proven excellent customer service skills + Excellent verbal and written communication skills **Application Window closes 2/7/2025** All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. **Benefits** : Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
