IT Technical Specialist

Position Overview: Labcorp is seeking an experienced and motivated IT Technical Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. This individual will play a crucial role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing Labcorp’s IT infrastructure and systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical experience and a strong understanding of IT systems, networks, and hardware, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Executes and documents Interface Test Plans.  Carries out vendor to vendor testing with client/vendor(s) or third party vendor(s). Consults with the client and /or vendor as needed to test, implement the reference lab interface. Maintains knowledge of status of all interfaces under installation, providing such information as requested. Reviews problems encountered during interface testing phases to determine if original specifications must be revised to accommodate requests by the client Assists the client and provides technical support during integrated testing of foreign system interfaces and/or reference lab interfaces Consults with programmers and product teams as needed to complete implementation and delivery of interfaces and accurately documents quality testing and support to the client Complies with all approved procedures, directives and guidelines Performs other duties as assignedSuccessful interaction/communication with LabCorp external and internal clientsClient system maintenance as necessaryTroubleshooting issues related to labcorp and clients LISBuilds/Validates client test tables, files and or setups

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.Minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT support or technical specialist role.Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including networking, servers, databases, and cloud-based systems.Proficiency with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and macOS.Experience with system administration, troubleshooting, and user support.Familiarity with IT security practices and tools.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with non-technical users and teams.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are a plus.

Pay Range: 79,300-100,000
