Ketjen Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Albemarle Corporation, is currently seeking an IT Technician at our Bayport, TX site.

Responsibilities

Manage all support by using Albemarle’s Ask Now tickets/requests processes.Responsible for following global service desk processes and SLAs.Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (monitors, printers, etc.).Perform PC imaging.Perform IT-related tasks to support the employee onboarding process.Work with users, vendors/ service providers, and other IT service owners as needed to resolve issues around PCs, printers, conference audio/video devices, projectors and specific non-standard software, mobile devices, or some new technologies.Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications and internal processes.Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.Develop IT training materials and deliver the new digital tools/applications training to end users.Perform inventory updates for physical inventory.Identify computer or network equipment replacement and upgrade needs and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work.Responsible for on-the-ground support of site audio/video equipment.Perform review and update of documentation like site operation manuals and user guides.Take control of any IT operational crisis or critical incidents by influencing/escalating across service owners/providers to resolve any service interruptions.Ensure adherence to established corporate strategies, standards, and policies and suggest modifications as appropriate.Adhere to the IT Change Management governance model.Follow the Project Management methodology.Become the broker of IT Services with internal and external providers.

Requirements

Proven experience in an IT Support role.2-+years of IT helpdesk operations and IT customer support experience.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.Strong documentation skills.Good presentation and communication skills.Excellent written and verbal skills.Ability to work independently, make decisions, and take responsibility for those decisions good or bad.Ability to manage local projects.Must be able to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple competing tasks/demands.Sense of urgency in providing IT business services.Working knowledge of Office 365, Outlook, and Teams.Working knowledge of Windows PC/Server/Domain environments.Video and audio-conferencing experience.Basic network knowledge and skills.IT security knowledge is a plus.
