Must Have Skills:

Ability to automate system configuration and management using scripts and configuration management tools. Comfortable with using PowerShell, Ansible and Terraform. Experience of working with continuous delivery tool sets and frameworks, such as Azure DevOps. A DevOps Engineer’s role requires technical skills in the development cycle and operations skills for maintenance and support. Computer Science or Computer Technology graduates can bring some of the technical skills necessary to become a DevOps engineer. However, the skills required for managing the operations usually come through the experience or by enrolling in specific development programs, which can help further the career in the set direction.

Detailed Job Description:

At least 7 years of experience in Architecture, Design build of Cloud based infrastructure and applications using Azure (IaaS PaaS). At least 7 years of experience Devops CI CD platform design and implementation. At least 7 years of experience in Azure DevOps pipeline, Python/Bash/PowerShell scripting, Terraform enterprise, Docker, GitHub, and other DevOps tools. Experience developing microservice APIs and RESTful APIs. Experience writing APIs using object oriented programming languages. Experience with cloud services (Azure Preferred). Experience architecture microservice architectures in the cloud preferred. Experience delivering Pub/Sub architecture in the cloud preferred. Experience with writing API documentation (swagger preferred). Must have worked in Agile projects. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience writing scripts and automation against apis and service oriented systems. Experience using orchestration and automation tools Preferred scripting/programming languages - Python, PowerShell, GoLang, Bash, JavaScript, .Net, C#, Java Experience using Release processes and CI/CD delivery model preferred Experience using Git and VCS tools that support Git Repos (Azure Devops and GitHub Enterprise preferred) Able to gather requirements from Business users and turn them into deliverable work items. Champion code quality, reuse, and extensibility and best practices Strong leader/mentor with team members Design and provide solutions to fit the requirements of the project stakeholders, customers, and end-users conforming to the standards established by the IT organization Technical design documents that explain system flows, data flows, technical component interaction diagrams SNOW Automation Developer - Experience developing microservice automations. Experience writing automation using scripting or object oriented programming languages. Experience using CMDB and ITSM tools (ServiceNow preferred)
