Primary Job Responsibilities:

The Web Infrastructure Engineer II will play a technical role in a 24x7 highly available production environment. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and articulate. Candidate will be recognized as an expert with F5 Load Balancing, Web Application Firewall, BIG-IP DNS, Microsoft operating systems (Windows Server 2012, 2016 or newer), IIS and related software technologies and have a proven history of using administrative tools and automating routine administration tasks.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

Lead the design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of the F5 appliances utilizing best practices of F5 technology and other aspects of client security Architect and engineer the F5 Local Traffic Manager Develop iRules and apply rules within the F5 appliances Manage Traffic Director Rules Manage and maintain Docker Environment Review, configure, and respond to AWAF and DDoS alerts Must be able to work independently to troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis and identify and isolate technical issues Must be willing to take ownership of the issue analysis and resolution efforts and commit to "doing what it takes" to resolve technical issues regardless of the effort or timeframe required. Triaging as necessary for production, QA & development environments. Mentor System Administrators through leadership and setting positive examples Capable of designing, testing, and completing the implementation of complex technical solutions and architecture Ability to lead and manage system initiatives and new projects Work with external vendors/consultants to diagnose complex problems and drive resolution Resolve errors and alarms quickly and provide timely escalation Complete tasks required to maintain service levels and availability of all site features and functions Help define and support process improvements Full-time position with on-call duties

Job Requirements:

3+ years work experience as Windows Server Administrator 3+ years of F5 Local Traffic Manager (LTM) 3+ years of F5 Global Traffic Manager (GTM) 3+ years of F5 Advanced Web Application Firewall (AWAF) 3+ years of Docker experience Expert understanding of and experience with IIS Experience with tcpdump, Wireshark and analyzing network traffic Experience analyzing security impacts and risks to websites, explain crafting ASM policies with examples. Demonstrate a solid understanding of the OSI and TCP/IP network models and provide examples Proven grasp of LAN and WAN networking protocols and technologies, including switching, routing, and security (e.g., Layer 4-7, firewall, DDoS, etc.) Experience documenting network topology using Visio Experience with VMware vSphere Strong experience with implementing and using systems monitoring software (e.g. SolarWinds Orion, Elastic Observability (ELK), etc.) Must have experience with using BMC ServiceNow, Jira, or other ITSM related applications Must have strong communication skills and ability to work individually, within a team, with other groups and with customers Strong ability to manage vendor relationships including contracts, negotiations and service levels Must have ability to communicate complex technical problems concisely and professionally to technical and non-technical audiences Proven problem-solving skills with an emphasis on quick problem resolution Ability to work on many tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment Understanding of or experience supporting web servers. Understanding of or experience supporting .NET applications
