Project Overview and Role
PERINTIS is a project implemented under the DFAT-funded Indonesia
Australia Partnership for Infrastructure (KIAT).
The purpose of PERINTIS is to support Palembang’s sanitation
program through a social marketing campaign and training. The focus is on
helping community members make informed decisions about sanitation and
assisting local government and contractors to deliver effective sanitation
services.
Based in Palembang, South Sumatra, Indonesia, the IT Web
Consultant will be responsible for supporting the PERINTIS Team including the
relevant Short-Term Advisers to develop and establish a website. This position
will be reporting to the PERINTIS Team Leader.
The role of the IT
Web Consultant is a Short-Term Consultant contract. The consultant will be paid
based on the deliverables.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Collaborate with PERINTIS team, to understand the project goals, content, and target audience.
• In consultation with the PERINTIS Knowledge Management Writer and Graphic Designer create a mock-up and prototype to present design concepts and ideas.
• Build the website and ensuring all elements are correctly integrated and functional.
• Work with PERINTIS Team to organize and manage all website content, ensuring it is clear, engaging, and optimized for search engines (SEO).
• Conduct comprehensive testing to ensure the website is functioning properly across all browsers and devices.
• Assist in the launch of the website and ensure a smooth transition.
• Support and maintenance, trouble shoot as needed after the launch.
Skills and Experience
• More than 5 years’ experience in working on web design
• A strong track record of working on content layout management
• Work in tight schedule and deadline based on project timeline.
• Experience in website design and development, specifically on the Squarespace platform.
• Strong portfolio showcasing similar web development project, including responsive and functional websites.
• Knowledge of best practices for web design and SEO.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
