Italian Tutor (part-time, 15 hours a week in presence – Fall 2025, extensible to Spring 2025) – Responsibilities include, but are not limited to providing academic support to undergraduate Italian Language students and collaborate in the activities of the Italian Department and Office of Academic Services.
The Italian Tutor ensures equitable and inclusive treatment of students and other stakeholders at all times.
Principle Duties
75% Meet, by appointment, Italian Language students to improve their knowledge and practice of the language15% Assist the Language Coordinator with some aspects of the Program (e.g.: editing of quizzes and exams, organizing of the Italian section of the library, translating from Italian to English)10% Collaborate with the Office of Academic Support to organize and implement workshops and events aiming at improving the students’ knowledge of Italian culture and society. QualificationsRequired Education
Degree in the field of language, linguistics, translations, etc or to be enrolled in at least in the last year of one the above mentioned degrees.
Required Certification/Other Qualifications
Candidates must have the unrestricted right to work and live in Florence prior to appointment.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Level of knowledge of Italian: C1-C2Level of knowledge of English: C1-C2Successful candidates must show evidence of their ability to legally work in Italy.
