Team Overview and Job Responsibilities

We are looking for an intern to join Italy Purchasing team based in Milan. The successful candidate, directly reporting to the Purchasing Manager, will provide valued support performing the following activities:

- negotiation with groups of suppliers;

- processing of reports for the Headquarters (purchasing data analysis, volumes and price analysis);

- SAP update and invoice monitoring;

- support in the management of purchases relating to the Merlino Plant (Lodi) for specific orders.

 

With the proper tutoring the intern will learn the skills related to the effective management of suppliers in the role of a Purchasing Specialist and gain an increasing level of autonomy in the following skills:

- application of techniques for managing commercial relations with suppliers;

- elements of contracts with suppliers;

- use of IT tools for purchasing management (SAP and Excel).

 

Who are we looking for?

Qualifications

- Recent graduates in Engineering or graduating students.

Preferred qualifications

- quantitative and analytical mindset;

- seriousness, reliability and strong ethical sense;

- resourcefulness, ambition and willingness to take new challenges and risks;

- initiative and flexibility to accept, assume and adapt to multiple demands and priorities in a lean organization

- critical thinking and problem-solving skills;

- ability to work in a multi-cultural environment;

- team work and communication skills;

- fluency in both Italian and English.
