ITIL System Engineer Technical Advisor

Visit arcfield.com for more details. Responsibilities The position supports the Intelligence Community (IC) client's Communication Directorate, Systems Integration Office (SIO). The role is to provide software engineering/IT background, knowledge, and experience to perform as an SE/ITIL Advisor on behalf of the SIO Government Program Management Office (GPMO) managing and overseeing a large service integration contract. Responsibilities include monitoring and reporting on ITIL activities, conducting artifact reviews, assisting and shaping the timing and quality of work products/deliverables, influencing priorities to meet customer needs, and holding service providers accountable for deliveries. The ITIL Advisor participates in planning, progress and review meetings, and may support as different ITIL practices, as applicable. Uses effective communication skills while focusing on customer values of openness, honesty and respect. Assists team to clarify goals and works to remove impediments while fostering team creativity and improving the efficiency of the development and delivery of work products. Responsibilities include: Support and interface with the customers via the phone, email, chat, and applicable online presences, as required Ability to support Technical Exchange Meetings, Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, Working Groups, Review Boards and project engagements without direct leadership oversight and/or participation Perform analysis on business or systems processes to identify improvements Generate or revise standard operating procedures, plans, processes and other associated documents to ensure continuous alignment to mission needs Provide guidance and advice in the areas of ITSM and ITOM Develop, recommend, and implement solutions Communicate effectively both verbally and through written means, with senior leaders, service providers, mission programs, team members, and other stakeholders May support practices such as Release Management, Event Management, Incident Management, and/or Problem Management activities Qualifications BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5 Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI with Poly Bachelor’s degree preferably in science or engineering 8 years' experience in Software Engineering role/environment Experience establishing/evaluating engineering or service management artifacts Experience with intelligence community client Strong communications (Verbal/Written/Presentation) Experience with ITIL Service management practices Knowledge of ServiceNow desired ITIL certification desired EEO Statement EEO Arcfield proactively fulfills its role as an equal opportunity employer.
