Summary:
The IX Technology Engineer will work on designing, building, and implementing IIoT technologies, platforms as well as data foundations applications to support transformation projects that drive strategic growth for ADM.
To architect, design Data management, Industry 4.0/IIoT solutions & Analytics, the IX Technology Engineer will need to liaise with various stake holders and SMEs including:Functional teams to identify and drive value propositionsIT, OT, Automation, and other technical experts to consider the holistic plant data ecosystem and security modelsFunctional teams that build or acquire the underlying dataApplication owners to understand raw or source data structuresEnd users to ensure solution usabilityThe IX Technology Engineer focuses on full stack development of IIoT applications and collaborates with extended team members to design impactful and transformative business solutions. designing and building data pipelines, constructing, and modifying data hub architecture and collaborating with extended team members to design impactful business solutions. The IX Technology Engineer should have technical knowledge of common IoT platforms and technologies. Likewise, a deep expertise in managing IoT devices and handling the variety of data produced from manufacturing/operations environments including data acquisition, data ingestion and data mining/storage methods. The IX Technology Engineer should have experience with modern project management methods utilized in the IT/OT space.
Responsibilities:Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for IIOT solutions to drive Data driven decision making.Standardize data and reporting across businesses and teams to enable consistency and quality of key business dataArchitect efficient and scalable IIoT solutions including data pipeline to enhance the overall data portfolio and improved enterprise-wide efficiency for processes and peopleDesign and develop IIoT solutions that conforms to consistent methodologies, standards, and industry best practicesParticipate with other technical experts in designing overall logical & physical data architectures considering data acquisition, processing, and storageDevelop and maintain application code as neededAssist with review to confirm technical feasibility of integration development objects based on integration principles and best practicesDevelop Data Models, Asset Framework (AF) structure using applications like AVEVA PI Historian.Design and develop enterprise data warehouse platform that conforms to consistent methodologies, standards, and industry best practicesDesign, develop, test and document data integrations and assist with deployment, validation, and hyper-careParticipate in designing overall logical & physical data warehouse and data mart models and architectures to support business requirementsAssist with Edge Analytics solutions and ML modelsPrepare and present ideas and recommendations to colleagues and managementDeveloping prototypes and proof of concepts for required solutionsSupport practical implementation and management of IIoT solutionsLearn new groundbreaking data engineering and analytic tools as neededContribute to development of the overall solution approachRecommend solutions to address gaps, assist with development estimation, Supervise and review activities of consultantsRequirements:4-year bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, Computer Science, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Programming, Business Analytics, Mathematical or related fieldAt least 5 years of experience in plant floor data producers, data acquisition and processing and in Industry 4.0/IIoT application full stack developmentExperience with various database types including SQL, NoSQL, and time-series. Specifically, MSSQL, MYSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cosmos, PI, and Influx DB.Strong understanding of full stack design and development using AVEVA PI Suite, Edge stack (MQTT Broker, Influx DB, Node Red, Grafana), Cloud and Azure IoT ServicesExperience in Inductive automation / Ignition software is an added advantage.Experience in AVEVA/OSISoft PI historian, PI AF data structure, Data modelling or equivalentExperience delivering Cloud based and on-premises IIoT SolutionsExperience in delivering solutions using iterative development methodologies like Agile, Kanban, DevOpsExperience with container deployed solutions and container managementGood understanding of Big Data technologiesGood understanding of traditional Operational Technologies and data producers such as PLCs, DCS, SCADAExpertise in modern IIoT devices, data protocols and pipelinesExpertise in designing IIoT architectures including edge devices, gateways and storage considering cloud and on-premises technologiesExperience with open-source technologiesUnderstanding of Purdue and modern IIoT network modelsGood understanding of ICS Security and best practices in securing IIoT devices and data pipelinesWorking knowledge of programming languages and methods used to create IIoT applications and acquire and process data from IIoT devices e.g. Python, Java, C#/C++, Lua, SQL, via webAPI, stored procedures, vendor SDKsUnderstand and navigate a wide array of source data systems (smart devices, DCS, PLC, historians, OPC servers, MQTT brokers, enterprise data warehouses, relational databases, IT systems, in house and COTS applications, documents, APIs, unstructured data, big data, NoSQL databases, etc.)Preferred experience with Python ML libraries like Scikit-learn/PyTorch or Azure MLExperience working in DevOps / CICD framework is a plusHigh accountability with a demonstrated ability to deliverEffective communication skills including design documentationStrong collaboration skills working with architecture, design, and development teamsTravel:
