PurposeTo assist the Jackson School Development Office through planning and executing events, manage development and alumni relations communications, and support the School’s annual fundraising efforts.
ResponsibilitiesProvide support that allows for efficient and effective use of staff members’ time by managing systems for acknowledgement, stewardship, cultivation and solicitation of prospects and donors.
Plan and execute various events, such as receptions, dinners, tailgates, conferences, webinars, campus visits, etc.
Assist the director of donor and alumni engagement by facilitating draft solicitations, pulling data and helping with micro-campaign execution and follow-up. Manage Horn Raisers and 40 for Forty campaigns.
Assist in the coordination of activities for various gift officers and other staff members as needed.
Manage and execute development and alumni relations communications on behalf of the development and alumni relations office. Additionally, manage website updates.
Assist with prospect and donor research, individualized donor stewardship projects, and various forms of donor outreach as needed.
Work collaboratively, proactively, and in a professional, service-oriented manner with all university development staff to further the development goals of the university.
Other related functions and duties as assigned.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree. A combination of one year of experience assisting with fundraising programs or performing complex administrative functions. Highly effective communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal). Project management skills. Capable of working independently and under pressure, while also engaging in collaboration between teams. Excellence in problem-analyzing, problem-solving, and customer service. Demonstrated high attention to details and accountability. Ability to use discretion and maintain integrity and professionalism. High degree of proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and InDesign. Demonstrated excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred QualificationsMore than five years of administrative assistance and/or events experience. Experience with VIP database and DEFINE. Working knowledge of UT Austin's policies and procedures.
Salary Range$60,000
Working ConditionsTypical office environment.
Ability to work remotely.

Ability to work on weekends occasionally.
