SummaryResponsible for maintaining the facility janitorial program on shift via maintaining sanitation equipment, working/cleaning on common & other assigned areas (ex. offices, floors, hallways, lobbies, lunchrooms, rest rooms, corridors, stairs/stairwells, locker rooms) and maintaining them in an orderly condition, issues & controls supplies, and the back-up for the environmental specialist.

Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for maintaining the facility janitorial program on shift
Continuous cleanup of plant areas as assigned. Prepare equipment for and assist in special cleanups when necessary Operates floor cleaning and other sanitation equipment Perform janitorial duties assigned Lifts or transports heavy barrels of trash or product waste
Maintains chemicals, supplies, tools, equipment, etc. to 5S standard
Audits cleaning chemicals and supplies inventory Stocks cleaning chemicals and supplies into inventory Orders needed chemicals and supplies via approved vendors Prepares and distributes, properly mixed and labeled chemicals for use in the factory Maintains records daily for chemical titration Communicates information contained on Safety Data Sheets to users on chemicals as appropriate Maintains and repairs various types of sanitation equipment such as floor scrubbers, high pressure guns, hoses, fittings, high pressure washers, foamers and related equipment, sprayers, etc.
Responsible for maintaining the janitorial program on shift
Deep clean activities (ex. washes walls, ceiling, doors, ice machines, stairs/stairwells, garbage cans, chairs, etc.) Waxing of floors via assigned schedule Ensures special cleaning and project cleaning are completed Typical Education High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Incumbent must get and maintain a valid operator’s license with a Lift Truck and Platform/Scissor Lift endorsement within 30 days of starting the bid. Participate on weekly facility inspections and others as needed As directed, inspects premises for unsanitary practices and conditions Confers with production personnel on sanitation problems, and recommends changes in equipment, plant layout, lighting, ventilation, or work practices to improve sanitation standards and purity of product. Prepares appropriate reports, audits and inventories to management as required utilizing personal computer and programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. Assist with hands on cleaning of all equipment Certified on all plant sanitation processes Assist sanitation supervisor in the support of commercialization projects Cleans other areas and offices as directed or assigned Confers with production personnel on sanitation problems, and recommends changes in equipment, plant layout, lighting, ventilation, or work practices to improve sanitation standards and purity of product Prepares appropriate reports, audits and inventories to management as required utilizing personal computer and programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook Any other duty as assigned
