General Job Description:\n

Assist skilled maintenance and construction workers in performing their assigned duties. Worker may perform a large variety of duties.\n
\n

Functional Requirements:\n

\u2022 Maintains premises.
\u2022 Ensures rest and working areas of offices, industrial buildings and outer grounds are in clean and orderly condition.
\u2022 Performs a combination of dusting furniture, walls, fixtures, and equipment.
\u2022 Sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and buffering floors.
\u2022 Polishing furniture, fixtures, and trimmings.
\u2022 Using janitorial supplies.
\u2022 Cleaning lavatories, showers, and rest rooms.
\u2022 Performs a variety of non-mechanical tasks.
\u2022 Spends time on the job or may be transferred from task to task as needed.
\u2022 Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.\n

Qualification Standards:\n

\u2022 High school or equivalent
\u2022 General knowledge of cleaning
\u2022 Post-offer drug\/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
\u2022 Hazard Communication orientation\/test
\u2022 Turner Industries Group, LLC. Indoctrination
\u2022 OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87)
\u2022 Job site orientation
\u2022 Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
\u2022 Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
\u2022 Applicant\/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace\n

Physical Involvement:\n

May be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.; reaching in all directions; handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and\/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing \/ sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching\/squatting; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; wearing respirator and other PPE; stepstool use; work in excessive heat; work in excessive cold; work in loud environment\n
