Description/Job Summary: The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a full-time Janitorial Services Manager for a complete facility maintenance program to support a federal Agency. The Janitorial Service Manager is responsible for managing the janitorial program and setting and adjusting the work schedules of all personnel to ensure the operation is within the Scope of Work (SOW). The Janitorial Service Manager shall ensure all work performed by the team is accomplished following guidelines as specified within the contract. This includes but is not limited to work performed by the Facilities staff, as well as subcontractors hired by the contractor. Coordinate, schedule, and supervise janitorial day, evening, and weekend shift staff members and fill in as needed. Verifies and performs quality assurance checks and manages the cleaning inventory. Coordinate and initiate Purchase Orders for paper and chemical products as needed. Supervise proper carpet cleaning, steam spot cleaning, garbage removal, recycling, floor stripping, waxing, and overall cleanliness of the facilities. Maintain daily turnover log for continuity of services across shifts. Manage janitorial staff to ensure performance standards are met and meet the contract requirements. Shall possess at least 3 years of experience in the management and supervision of commercial and institutional janitorial services. Ability to read and follow cleaning supply instructions/restrictions The ability to support night and weekend operations as needed. Have the capability to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs. repeatedly. Excellent customer service The position is an ON-SITE position and will require being in North Charleston daily.
