Retail Development Program Overview  

Belk offers talented and ambitious recent graduates the opportunity to work in multiple areas of our business. The Retail Development Program (RDP) is a fast-paced three-month program designed to prepare recent college graduates for a full-time role at Belk. We offer opportunities in several of our business functions including Merchandising, Planning, Supply Chain and more! The program focuses on key components to support your development: Education, Experience, Exposure, Innovation and Results.  

The Retail Development Program – Industrial Engineering will hire a class of program participants in our Charlotte, NC headquarters. RDPs are required to move and live in the Charlotte, NC Metro area for their first 12 months of employment at Belk.  

Human Resources Information Systems – Position Summary 

The HRIS Analyst position is responsible for HR operational and system support to all Belk locations and will serve as an escalation point to resolve issues. This position is expected to function as developer and Tier 2 support for HR systems as part of the HRIS team while ensuring that service level agreements (SLAs) are met for all tasks.

 

 On the Job  

Function as system administrator and for one or more HRIS-managed systems, including development, configuration and table maintenance

Tier 2 support for one or more HRIS-managed systems. This includes acting as point of contact for the vendor representative, configuring the system as needed, leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for changes to the vendor system, notifying end users of any down time or changes to the system, and documentation of processes and procedures surrounding the system 

Develop job aids to support the HRIS team and functional users and train as needed!!Responsible for achieving measurable results related to transaction volume, accuracy and timeliness

Recommend opportunities for system enhancements to simplify and streamline operations

Prepare reports to monitor performance and completion rates as needed

Maintain and update highly confidential information on a daily basis  

Position Requirements  

Associate or bachelor’s degree required; Human Resources, Management Information Systems or related field. Prior internship in field strongly preferred

Must have graduated within 6 months of December 2024 and able to start full time January 2024 

Passion for solving problems; strong analytical skills

Open to learning, able to adapt to changing circumstances and reprioritize tasks as needed 

Ability to communicate effectively with clients and partners at all levels of the organization 

Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by Belk for this position now or in the future
