The role
The M&A Reporter will report on M&A activities in Japan. He/she will be responsible for interviewing company executives and market experts regarding M&A and investment strategies as well as market trends to compile into intelligence reports. Preference will be given to candidates with reporting experience.Key Responsibilities:Interview Japan-based companies and market experts regarding M&A strategies and market trendsTake charge of the assigned sectors and remain informed on latest deals, activities, and trends in the spaceCommunicate and cooperate with local and regional team membersMaintain and expand source networkRequired Skills, Experience and Qualifications:Fluency in Japanese and English (articles will be written in English)Ability to work under deadline pressure3+ years’ experience in journalism preferredKnowledge of the financial markets preferred but not necessarySpecific sector knowledge a plusGood interpersonal skillsAbility to multitask, good time management skillsBachelor’s degree or equivalentAbout us
