Berlitz-Tysons is looking for an Japanese instructor who can teach both In-person and online for the Tysons Language Center. We currently have a private Japanese program for an adult. 

 

This "on-site" Teaching  program starts January 21st, 2025 . This role runs for 17 weeks from 9:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday.  

 

This is a U.S. based role

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Deliver lessons in-person in accordance with Berlitz teaching principles: focusing on the goals, needs, and interests of students.   Responsible for keeping student pedagogical and attendance records up to date    Integrate learning technology into teaching programs and maintain shared teaching resource materials  

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:  

 

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Teaching experience is required. Instructor candidates must be native fluent,  in target language(s) to teach for Berlitz  Exceptional communication skills. Basic administrative skills, and computer knowledge to deliver lessons, and maintain student records.

 

Technical requirements:

 

A minimum of 5 Mbps download speed / 2 Mbps upload speed. A stable wired connection to the internet (Wi-Fi is not sufficient). A PC or laptop running Windows 10 or higher, or macOS 11 or higher (Linux does not support our applications) A USB headset and a camera. For those living in areas where load shedding occurs, it is required to have a backup system to support your devices. At least 2 GHz of base processing speed and RAM equal or above 4096 MB (4GB)

 

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The employee is frequently required to stand, walk use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.   

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines  

 

SALARY: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
