Japanese Translator/Secretary to CFO

Your Day-to-Day

Translate and interpret written documents, emails, reports, and meeting materials between Japanese and English (and vice versa), ensuring contextual accuracy.Attend meetings with CFO and relevant stakeholders to provide real-time interpretation and take accurate minutes of meetings.Coordinate and schedule appointments, business meetings, and internal/external engagements for the CFO.Arrange logistics for business trips and corporate events including travel bookings, accommodation, permits, and itineraries.Support documentation such as compiling glossaries, maintaining consistent terminologies, and updating financial-related terms.Liaise with internal teams and external parties to ensure that communications are clear, contextually aligned, and culturally appropriate.Prepare and organize reports, presentations, and research briefs as requested by the CFO.Provide administrative support such as filing, document control, calendar management, and follow-up tasks.Act as a communication bridge between Japanese expatriates and local team members to minimize cultural and regulatory misunderstandings.Assist in developing new communication/reporting processes to enhance cross-cultural efficiency in financial and operational settings.

Requirement

Proficient in Japanese and English, with strong interpretation and translation skills (business/finance context preferred).Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to bridge cultural gaps and clarify business nuances.Good organizational and multitasking abilities; experience in supporting C-level executives is a plus.High attention to detail with confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive financial and corporate matters.Prior experience in the financial services industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
