The Role:Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Java Architect w/AWS to serve our diverse base of global clients. Responsibilities: As a Senior Full Stack Java Architect, you will lead the design and development of high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications. You will be part of a talented software team that works on mission-critical applications, with a direct line to work with clients. Your roles and responsibilities will include managing Java/Java EE application development while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing. Design and develop robust solutions using Java, Spring, Maven, Gradle, and GitHub. Create dynamic web applications with ReactJS, AngularJS, or NodeJS. Design and develop software in the Cloud, utilizing services such as Kinesis, Lambda, Code Build/Code Deploy, EC2, S3, SNS, SQS, ELB, EMRFS, RabbitMQ, and Kafka. Deploy services using containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Deploy infrastructure into the cloud (IAC) using Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) and Jenkins. Build and maintain a pipeline service that enables the company to deploy infrastructure efficiently. Understand and implement security concepts using KMS, certificates, and ensure operational compliance with SOX, PCI, and HIPAA regulations. Build and maintain services using Microservices Architectures. Implement and utilize monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk and ELK Stack. Provide support to development teams in their infrastructure, pipelines, and product support. Qualifications: P&C insurance experience is mandatory. Proven hands-on Software Development experience. Proven working experience in Java development. Hands-on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms. Object-Oriented Analysis and design using common design patterns. Profound insight of Java and JEE internals (Classloading, Memory Management, Transaction management, etc). Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL, and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate). Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC). Experience with test-driven development. Strong communication and client-facing skills. Ability to lead and mentor a team of developers. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
