Responsibilities
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Java Developer to join their team, focusing on the design, development, and maintenance of Java-based applications and services within FileNet and IPS Suite environments. This role will be instrumental in upgrading legacy systems to Azure Cloud, enhancing system performance, scalability, and compatibility. Responsibilities include supporting system integrations, modernizing applications for Oracle 19c DB and WebLogic 14c R2, and driving DevOps practices for continuous integration and deployment.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java development, experience with Oracle WebLogic and databases, and familiarity with document management systems like FileNet and IBM DataCap. Additionally, this role requires a strong commitment to Agile project methodologies and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges efficiently.
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and services integral to our FileNet and IPS Suite environments
Play a key role in upgrading/migrating legacy systems to Azure Cloud, ensuring system compatibility, performance, and scalability
Upgrade and integrate EBTS applications to support FileNet 5.5.12 and the transition to IBM DataCap for advanced document management
Collaborate with teams to re-engineer applications for Oracle 19c DB and WebLogic 14c R2 in the Azure cloud environment
Support the entire software development lifecycle, including testing, implementation, and maintenance, while upholding high software quality standards
Develop and sustain DevOps practices to facilitate continuous integration and deployment of our enterprise solutions
Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to Java applications and the broader platform ecosystem
Support change management as needed to help PBGC employees adapt to new technologies and application updates
Actively participate in Agile project management activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
Requirements
12+ years of professional experience in Java development with a strong background in .ADF (Application Development Framework)Expertise in developing on Oracle WebLogic and significant experience with Oracle 19c DB and WebLogic 14c R2Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and toolsFamiliarity with additional QA frameworks and testing methodologiesDemonstrated ability to implement and maintain DevOps processes and toolsEducation/Certification Requirements
A Bachelor's degree with 12+ years (or commensurate experience) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is requiredPreferred Requirements
Extensive experience with FileNet Content Manager and familiarity with IBM DataCap or similar document capture systemsExperience with cloud migration projects, particularly to AzureCertifications in Java, FileNet, Oracle, WebLogic, or Azure technologiesClearance Requirements
