Job Title : Java Developer (mid and senior) Location: Remote Required Clearance: Secret Required Certification (s) : SEC + Required Education: BA and/ or experience Required Experience: 5-12 yrs Position Description: Exeter is looking for a mid- to senior-level Java developer who can d evelop secure , reliable , and resilient set of software applications and/or services whether refactoring or re-hosting existing applications or developing new applications at the Government's request. You will perform java development to support the Army Human Resources Command application development team. This particular work supports the Army Promotion Board system which is responsible for the selection of our future Army leadership at all ranks. Required Experience : + Active Security Clearance at the SECRET level + Java developer with 5-12 years of Java experience + Bachelor of Science in an appropriate related field + Strong experience working in an agile development environment + Strong development experience & capability using JEE, JMS, JSP / Servlets; JavaScript (jQuery, Angular JS), HTML 5, CSS, JBOSS, MS SQL 2019 Primary Responsibilities: + Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications + Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code + Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application + Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems Required Skills: + CompTIA SEC + + Java 8 OCA or Java 8 OCP + JBOSS Application Server + MS SQL 2019 Database Required Qualifications: + Design highly scalable software solutions to improve functionality and system longevity + Collaborate with project managers to implement end-to-end solutions for complex projects + Lead small teams of junior and intermediate level developers + Analyze current systems to maintain integrity and improve architecture + Remain informed of current trends and technology developments Desired Qualifications: + Working knowledge of Oracle Database + Expertise in agile and scrum development cycles + Solid understanding of object-or iented programming + Familiar with various design and architectural patterns + Knowledge of web services and rela ted technologies + Familiarity with concepts of MVC, JDBC, and RESTful + Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application + Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests + Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Subversion and Git + Familiarity with build tools such as Ant and Maven + Familiarity with continuous integration + Familiarity with the Atlassian Suite of tools + Familiarity with Git Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status. #clearancejobs
