What you will do
In this role, you'll be responsible for crafting, prototyping, and developing a scalable, resilient, and easily maintainable cloud deployment platform infrastructure. You'll also create automated unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability of new functionality.
Beyond development, you'll proactively identify areas for improvement and drive their implementation. Staying up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies will be key, as you'll assess advancements across infrastructure foundations - ncluding servers, storage, networks, data, and applications - to enhance platform capabilities.
You'll work with and support Open Source Software whenever possible, contributing to a culture of collaboration and continuous learning. Most importantly, you'll be part of a friendly and open team that values knowledge-sharing and innovation.
What you bring
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Informatics or equivalent. Established software development experience Object Oriented Programming & Design Data structures & algorithms Willingness and ability to quickly learn and explore new concepts and technologies Excellent team player, with effective communication skills, passionate about his/her work, self-driven Fluent in English

The Sofia NEO Core team is focused on developing the PaaS layer of the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). We are the team developing the control plane of the Neo development environment, which assures a scalable infrastructure for provisioning the Java applications that thousands of our customers are deploying in their cloud accounts.
We are those brave ones who are taking care of the magic that happens when somebody deploys and starts a Java application in the Cloud.
