You Are:

We are seeking a Production Support Engineer with expertise in Java and MS SQL, complemented by a strong understanding of JEE technologies, database management, and DevOps practices. This role is responsible for ensuring application stability, monitoring system performance, and providing timely issue resolution. The ideal candidate will work within the healthcare domains, supporting CI/CD pipelines, addressing security vulnerabilities, and collaborating with development teams to enhance application reliability.

 

The Opportunity:

·       Production Support & Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime.

·       CI/CD Pipeline Support: Maintain and enhance DevOps CI/CD pipelines for streamlined application deployments.

·       Application Performance & Monitoring: Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and optimize applications for efficiency.

·       Security Compliance & Remediation: Ensure compliance with security policies and remediate vulnerabilities in applications and OpenShift server platforms.

·       Incident & Problem Management: Identify recurring issues, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement long-term solutions.

·       Application Validation: Conduct post-maintenance validation to ensure seamless functionality after deployments or updates.

·       Database Management: Create, modify, and update databases as required.

·       Deployment & Maintenance: Manage deployments and collaborate with development teams for application enhancements.

·       Code & Design Reviews: Participate in peer reviews and code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices.

 

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

 

What You Need:

·       Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

·       Experience in production support with a focus on monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing large-scale enterprise systems.

·       Proven expertise in managing and monitoring job scheduling systems for efficient batch processing and troubleshooting failures.

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in troubleshooting production issues.

·       Prior experience in healthcare or insurance domains is a plus.

·       Domain Knowledge:

·       Facets expertise preferred.

 

 

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Remote

Compensation Range: $ 81,000-$123,000

 

 

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
