Referred to as Java Competence Center, we co-create and co-accelerate with key players in any field. We are seeking for a skilled Java Developer with German for an online web and mobile application used by citizens of Switzerland to communicate with police stations. Citizens can report cases of theft, property damage, acquisition of weapons or can make an appointment to a police station. On the other side, each police station receive those cases created by citizens in their internal applications and can make custom settings, how are the cases processed. We encrypt all the sensitive information between citizens and police stations in database. For encryption and decryption, we are using our internal implemented tool. Since 2022, we have introduced a new module for weapons report since all the weapon companies from Switzerland should report all their transactions to police. Application is live since 2018. **What you'll be doing** + Design and implement new customer applications in EPolice + Maintain and further develop the existing EPolice software solution + Support in preparing proposals through solution descriptions and effort estimates + Tech stack: Java, Angular, SpringBoot, Hibernate, Kubernetes, Git, IntelliJ **What you'll bring along** + A University degree or advanced diploma in a software engineering-related discipline, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience + Proven experience as a Java Developer, with a strong background in Java + In-depth knowledge of Java components and frameworks + Experience in object-oriented analysis, design, and implementation, as well as the application of design patterns + Vert good German and English communication verbal and written skills **What’s in it for you** ✔ New beginnings can be a challenge.
