**CTG is seeking to fill a Java Engineer opening for our client in New York, NY.** **Location:** New York, NY **Duration:** Ongoing contract **Duties:** + Work as part of cross-functional product squads focused on delivering a unified consumer experience through platforms such as Resy and Tock. + Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build robust and scalable backend services. + Contribute to key product areas including “Auth and Profile Data,” “Venue and Event Pages,” and the consumer-facing “Homepage.” + Write high-quality, maintainable Java code and unit tests using JUnit. + Support continuous integration and deployment workflows in a cloud-based environment. **Skills:** + Proficient in Java with strong backend engineering skills. + Experience with MySQL or similar relational databases. + Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud services. + Experience with JUnit or other testing frameworks. + Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills within agile development teams. **Experience:** + 3+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in a product-driven environment. + Proven track record of working on customer-facing applications or platforms. + Experience working in agile, squad-based team structures is a plus. **Education:** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
