Job description
Infosys is seeking a Java Lead Developer. This position’s primary responsibility will be to translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within the existing application frameworks. The chosen candidate will apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, gather accurate requirements and work closely with stakeholders to prioritize tasks and the scope of development. The role will require strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and make adjustments in a testing environment while contributing towards developing and adhering to best practices for developing applications that are scalable, relevant, and critical to the project.
Required Qualifications:
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Dallas, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
Experience working in Application Development, support, maintenance and analysis in Core Java, J2EE, Spring, any RDBMS (Oracle/Sybase/DB2/SQL Server/Postgresql).
Working knowledge of Unix/Linux experience
Proficiency in object-oriented design principles
Experience with Java frameworks such as DropWizard, Spring and Hibernate
Familiarity with web development frameworks (Angular or React)
Familiarity with distributed storage systems like DB2, Oracle, Cassandra, MongoDB
Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines especially using Git
Hands-On Development and analysis skills are mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 2 years of experience in a development role.
At least 4 years of experience in Java & Database (Sybase ASE or SQL Server)
At least 2 years of experience in frontend technologies (ReactJS, Angular)
At least 4 years of experience in software development life cycle.
At least 4 years of experience in Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
At least 1 years of experience in project scoping, estimation and scheduling
At least 1 year of experience in Java Microservices development
Should understand Business logic development, work independently & takes full responsibility for end-to-end flow
Knowledge of architectural frameworks and design principals
Basic domain knowledge in Capital Markets and Finance
Analytical skills
Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
