Java Tech Lead

Step into the role of a Java Tech Lead and shape the future of market post trade team by designing and architect solutions for strategic trade processing system to communicate with settlement systems. Delivering high quality of code that is easy to maintain and incorporate future enhancements. You’ll need to perform detailed technical design for changes to meet requirements in the trade processing space and implement the technical solution. You’ll have to understand and contribute to the system architecture and ensure that the development is in line with the strategy and the overall roadmap. You’ll have to work with global team to implement coding standards & best practices for software development and ensure compliance to the process including but not limited to unit testing and continuous integration. Additionally, you’ll need to provide well-architected technical solution to meet requirements. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the processes and the system. Also, perform design and code reviews of code commits done by developers to ensure high quality of deliverable. You will a crucial role in stakeholder management, building effective relationships and promoting collaborative communication.

To be successful as a Java Tech Lead you should have experience with:

Core Java experience in server-side multi-threaded applicationsDeveloping using the Spring framework, including experience with Spring BootStrong working knowledge with Apache Camel, Messaging technologies like MQ, Solace or Kafka and Caching technologies like Apache Ignite or CoherenceStrong experience with SQL and NoSQL based database technologies preferably Oracle.Experience working in cloud technologies including Docker, Kubernetes and Openshift.Good understanding of microservices architecture, software design patterns and enterprise integration patternsSolid understanding of Test Driven and Continuous integration way of software development process.Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience

Some of Highly Valued Skills may include:

Knowledge of microservices orchestration & BPMN tools preferably Camunda.Knowledge of Elastic stack.Knowledge of Teamcity/Jenkins build tools.Knowledge in BPS, IMPACT & Gloss products from Broadridge.

Prior Banking domain experience, preferably in Settlement department.

To  lead and manage engineering teams, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions, driving technical excellence, fostering a culture of innovation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical decisions with business objectives. 

Accountabilities

Lead engineering teams effectively, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture to achieve project goals and meet organizational objectives.Oversee timelines, team allocation, risk management and task prioritization to ensure the successful delivery of solutions within scope, time, and budget.Mentor and support team members' professional growth, conduct performance reviews, provide actionable feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement.Evaluation and enhancement of engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency, streamline workflows, and optimize team productivity.Collaboration with business partners, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure a cohesive approach to product development.Enforcement of technology standards, facilitate peer reviews, and implement robust testing practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
