JBoss Administrator I
Own integrity and governance of a system/software solution, including best practices for delivering services. Develop, deploy and support infrastructures, applications, software solutions and technology initiatives from an architectural and operational perspective in conjunction with existing standards and methods of delivery. Support technical escalation of L3/advanced issues for problem resolution. This resource will be primarily responsible for installing, supporting and maintaining Jboss and Apache servers or other middleware technologies, such as monitoring agents or MQ instances. Planning for and responding to service outages and other issues that may occur within non-production and production environment. In addition, this resource will perform periodic scripting of their particular system, throughout the life of the project. Duties include providing hands-on analysis of issues, issue reporting, and incident management. Minimum skills and qualifications • 1 -3 years of experience in information technology with middleware systems • Beginner knowledge with installation of JBoss and Apache installations • Beginner knowledge of Ansible playbook development • Beginner experience with bitbucket for version control • Beginner experience with JVM deployment, debugging and performance tuning • Beginner experience SSL/TLS setup and troubleshooting • Beginner Linux administration skills • Beginner knowledge of yaml and bash scripting • Worked with with APM agent or other monitoring agent installation and usage • Supported patching, maintenance and related troubleshooting activities Preferred skills and qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent relevant experience • Beginner skills with troubleshooting MQ or other messaging services • Intermediate understand of navigating Splunk • Beginner knowledge of EC2/EKS or AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification • Red Hat Certified Specialist in Enterprise Application Server Administration • CompTIA Linux EEO Requirements It is the policy of ASM that an individual's race, color, religion, sex, disability, age, gender identity, veteran status, sexual orientation or national origin are not and will not be considered in any personnel or management decisions.
