Job Responsibilities
1. Perform daily farm activities: chores associated with caring for breeder turkeys, hatching eggs, farm equipment as outlined and described in department operating manuals
2. Help employees with safety, productivity and cost control by providing personal involvement in farm management and operating decisions and problem solving
Minimum Qualifications
* Reliable transportation to and from assigned farm
* Able to work weekends and holidays
* 9th grade math level and writing skills
* Able to meet all sanitation/isolation requirements
* PHYSICAL: Lift up to 35 pounds from floor to waist frequently with occasional lifting from the floor to full extension
* Able to wear eye and respiratory protection equipment continually
Preferred Qualifications
* Valid driver's license with good driving record
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Two years farm experience

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The hiring pay range for this role is $18.75, 6 months $18.95, 1 year $19.45 per hour.
