Job Responsibilities

In accordance with company policies and procedures, this position is responsible for maintaining the refrigeration systemsThis position will operate and repair industrial refrigeration systems (Freon, Ammonia)Maintain pertinent records on the ammonia equipmentPractice safe handling of ammonia in its liquid and gas stateMaintain and update Emergency Procedures***** Work Schedules will be discussed at the interview *****

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in plumbing and electrical and demonstrate good communication skillsOne-year experience in a boiler operationExcellent history of safetyAbility to work effectively under minimal supervisionPHYSICAL: No restrictions prohibiting bending, twisting and lifting up to 50 pounds or moreAbility  to wear a SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus)

Preferred Qualifications

Five years' experience in Industrial Refrigeration OperationsFreon CertifiedBoiler school certifiedThree years' experience on boiler operationTechnical School diploma in refrigeration

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $21.25 - $36.75 per hour, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
