You Are:

USTHealthproof is looking for a highly energetic and collaborative Jira Architect who can drive Atlassian Jira consolidation efforts of multiple instances into a single multi tenancy architecture. The candidate will need to maintain a scalable application to support both internal and external service requests.  Work closely with internal business partners and account managers to design and implement requested changes to the service management workflows, processes and configurations of the consolidated platform. This role will also require ensuring onboarding of new clients into service management meets the requirements set forth by the clients.

 

The Opportunity:

·       Designing the Multi-Tenancy Architecture

o   Define a scalable, secure, and efficient multi-tenancy architecture to accommodate multiple business units or teams within a single consolidated Jira instance.

o   Ensure clear data segregation, access control, and governance policies to maintain tenant autonomy while leveraging shared resources.

·       Consolidating Jira Instances

o   Plan and execute the migration of multiple existing Jira instances into the unified architecture.

o   Standardize configurations across instances, including workflows, issue types, custom fields, and permission schemes, to ensure consistency.

o   Address conflicts in naming conventions, customizations, or plugins to avoid redundancies.

·       Data Integrity and Security

o   Ensure data integrity during the migration by validating data mapping and resolving dependencies.

o   Implement robust access controls (SSO) to maintain tenant-specific security and compliance requirements.

·       Performance Optimization

o   Design the consolidated Jira instance for high performance and scalability, addressing challenges like user concurrency, large datasets, and plugin integrations.

o   Optimize indexing, database queries, and API usage to prevent bottlenecks.

·       Governance and Best Practices

o   Establish governance frameworks, including tenant-specific configuration guidelines, usage policies, and change management processes.

o   Develop strategies to manage plugin usage, ensuring compatibility and cost efficiency across tenants.

·       Collaboration and Stakeholder Management

o   Collaborate with IT teams, business units, and project managers to gather requirements and address tenant-specific needs.

o   Communicate migration plans, timelines, and potential impacts to all stakeholders.

·       Post-Migration Support and Training

o   Provide post-migration support, addressing user queries and resolving issues.

o   Train administrators and users on the new architecture and best practices to maximize the benefits of the consolidated environment.

•            Support, compile and troubleshoot Atlassian tools.

•            Plan, evaluate, deploy, operate and maintain tools to suit the expanding user-base

 

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

 

What You Need:

•            A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent work experience.

•            At least 7 years of experience as Jira Architect on Atlassian tools

•            In-depth knowledge militancy architecture, Azure and AWS environments

•            In-depth knowledge of Jira System Administration, configuration, and customization

•            Ability to create complex Jira workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, notification schemes

•            Experience in using APIs and plugins to integrate Jira with other systems and applications

 

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST HealthProof provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Remote

Compensation Range:  $100,000-$120,000

 

 

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue up to 16 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses. Certain regular employees may have the potential for quarterly incentive-based bonuses and or commissions depending on role. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Part-time employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) program with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
