Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Job Captain to join our team. In this role, you will work on the design and technical aspects of various projects, utilizing AutoCAD and Revit to complete corporate tenant improvements through both the design and production phases. You will prepare construction documents for the construction phase, generate and correct redlines daily, and ensure all drawings comply with CA codes. Additionally, you will attend weekly workload meetings, receive assignments from principals or project managers, and occasionally manage a team of 2-3 drafters or designers on various projects.

ResponsibilitiesWork on the design and technical aspects of projects using AutoCAD and Revit.Complete corporate tenant improvements through the design and production phases.Prepare construction documents for the construction phase.Generate and correct redlines on a daily basis.Attend weekly workload meetings and receive assignments from principals or project managers.Manage a team of 2-3 drafters or designers on various projects as needed.Ensure all drawings comply with CA codes.Handle landlord improvement work ranging from 3,000 to 40,000 sq ft.Present project updates to clients clearly and confidently.Travel to Bay Area job sites as required.Essential SkillsTechnical design expertise, with the ability to move projects and make changes through each phase.Experience handling construction documents.Strong communication skills for presenting project updates to clients.Ability to travel to Bay Area job sites.Experience with corporate interior, commercial interior, and/or corporate tenant improvement (TI) work.Proficiency in AutoCAD with at least 5 years of experience working within an architectural firm.At least 5 years of interior design work experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with landlord tenant improvement (TI) work is desirable.Familiarity with workplace design and retail design.Proficiency in additional software such as SketchUp.LEED accreditation is a plus.Experience with high-end luxury stores and tenant improvements.NCIDQ certification is a plus.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
