Why this role is important to us

Responsible for the management of a unit which may include 3 - 10 employees including staff and supervisors. Responsible for client management, staffing, unit performance according to the established goals and guidelines. Ensures adherence to established policies and procedures. 

What you will be responsible for

Demonstrates integrity when managing client expectations according to the SLA’s.

Ensures timely trade and payment processing with sense of urgency.

Ensures that processing exceptions are resolved on a timely basis, are well documented and are communicated to appropriate parties.

Monitors compliance with established controls and procedures and implements controls to eliminate losses.

Oversees the efficiency of the daily operations.  Ensures adequate backup through cross training.

Validates service expectations, communicates status and establishes areas for improvement

Maintains effective working relationships with clients, other departments, trading areas, brokers and service providers.

Maintain solid understanding of client SLA’s and services provided to meet SLA guidelines on a consistent basis.

Work with other groups within to develop system enhancements into daily operations

Monitor workflow to ensure the department is operating efficiently.

Interview, evaluate, hire, and manage performance, train, terminate and promote staff

Communicates and manages department goals and performance targets, and makes suggestions for enhancements to operational processes to more effectively meet client needs.

Assist with client presentations on derivatives operations.

Keep up to date with Industry Initiatives.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Economics, Master’s degree or CFA a plus.

Seven or more years of comparable work experience, with experience in the financial services industry preferred.

This position requires strong oral and written communication, leadership, and team building skills.  Candidates should have training and experience in managing people, including managers, to accomplish organizational goals and objectives.

Working knowledge of accounting, custody, and depository platforms.

Working knowledge of Derivatives products.

Demonstrated client communication and presentation skills.

Ability to effectively bring individuals from multiple areas together to resolve identified issues.

Deep understanding of settlement process.

Deep understanding of trade lifecycle events especially for the Derivatives instruments.

Computer proficient including working knowledge of desktop software applications including MS Office, Bloomberg, Recon tool including TriOptima, Markit/DTCC DerivServ.

Salary Range:

$85,000 - $141,250 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
