Department: Global Quality Engineering

Description:  As an Engineering Intern in the Global Quality Engineering group at Micron Technology, you'll join our team in supporting our 300mm semiconductor quality processes. Typical internships target 3 to 6 months in duration and will be located at the Boise, Idaho facility.

The primary internship project will focus on creation of data visualizations using industry standard reporting tools, data analysis and dynamic database queries. In addition to the primary project, we may also assign other innovative projects that are intended to last internship duration and occupy most of your time. In this effort, we anticipate for our interns to be creative, analytical and take initiative to move assigned projects forward to completion.

Interns will engage with quality engineers from the various locations within Micron’s international footprint to help identify project requirements and validate their outcomes. 

Training in quality risk management process and systems will be necessary to support a successful working experience and project deliverables. 

Qualifications:

We need someone who wants to work in an exciting and fast paced environmentThe ability work on multiple tasks concurrently, prioritize issues and tasksWillingness to shift work schedule to lead and/or attend discussions with quality teams within Micron’s global footprintExcellent technical, communication, and analytical skillsPC skills in Microsoft Office applicationsPossess a continuous improvement process (CIP) demeanor, looking for creative ways to improve Micron Quality processes or systems and strive to make a meaningful difference today!We need an intern drawn to creative problem solving and innovative solutions!

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient in one or more scripting, programming and visualization tools: Python, Tableau, Power BI or equivalent.Advanced problem-solver – understanding of data, good data intuition and data visualization skillsExperience or knowledge of data collection, warehousing systems, and data cleansingHands-on experience in the field of data analytics, preferably with experience querying databases

Education:

Sophomore up to Graduate Degree Level Status in Chemical Engineering, Mech Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or related Engineering Field.

Must be a current student, must not graduate before September 2025
