Working as a **New Zealand Sign** **Language Interpreter,** you will make every communication matter, ensuring that all points of the NZ Relay user journey are as stress- and barrier-free as possible. You will pride yourself on delivering an exceptional standard of Interpreting while being a dedicated and supportive team member. You will have passion to continuously improve and be driven to support the community we serve! **To make this role yours, you will have:** + Either the diploma or the degree in New Zealand Sign Language interpreting + NZSL fluency + a current SLIANZ membership that is maintained + Ideally at least two years’ experience of community interpreting + A good working knowledge of the SLIANZ Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct + Video interpreting experience ideally, and confidence in using video calling technology **What you’ll be doing** + Interpreting phone calls and interpreting remotely between Deaf, Hard of Hearing and hearing consumers efficiently, using video conferencing tools. + Maintaining strict confidentiality in line with SLIANZ’s Code of Ethics and Concentrix’s internal policies. + Supporting all of NZ Relay’s projects and initiatives, including promotions of the services and internal interpreting requirements. + Proactively sharing emerging user challenges with the New Zealand Relay leadership team. + Effectively using a range of formal and informal register and vocabulary in both NZSL and English, along with possessing excellent articulation and communication skills. + Supporting day to day business function and processes + Delivering exceptional customer service to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community of New Zealand. You’ll be working in a close-knit team where everyone supports each other.
