Job Summary: Relocating containers in the warehouse yard to be loaded or unloaded utilizing a Yard Jockey truck.   Essential Functions/Duties:  + Inspect Yard Jockey truck, trailer/chassis, and required accessories to determine safe operating conditions prior to start and end of each shift + Operate in compliance with company safety policies + Communicate effectively with dispatcher and receiver in English + Report all accidents or incidents involving driver or company equipment + Report any delays that will affect pick up or delivery appointments Qualifications:  Required Education and Experience + At least 18 years’ old + Current unrestricted Class “C” license Preferred Education and Experience + Class “A” CDL + High school diploma or equivalent Physical Demands: + Must be able to walk, bend, reach, push, pull, stop, squat, and climb Licenses/Certificates: + Current unrestricted Class “C” license Skills: + Ability to communicate effectively + Ability to work independently and as part of a team + Ability to recognize onsite risk factors and take appropriate action with firmness and tact Work Environment: Expected to operate in a warehouse yard environment where it is necessary to be aware for one’s own personal safety and the safety of others.  Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position.  Days and hours of work are various with both day and night shifts. Extended workdays could be expected with daily increases in volumes. This job is hourly nonexempt with OT after 40 hours worked. Travel:  No travel is expected for this position.
