C & B Operations, LLC is a progressive family-owned company that has grown over 35 years to include thirty-six John Deere dealerships in six states. We currently have an opening for a John Deere Parts Runner at its dealership locations in Southcentral South Dakota. This individual will support the Parts Department in the safe and efficient stocking, inventory control and delivery of parts to internal and external customers.
Essential Duties:
Operating vehicles to transport and deliver parts, small equipment, supplies and paperwork Cleaning, organizing and maintaining the condition of the Parts Department, vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment Assisting with the shipping and unloading of parts, including packing and unpacking, loading and unloading, delivery and stocking Pulling parts to fulfill internal and external customer orders Stocking parts Delivering parts for customers and vendors as needed Delivering parts to service technicians Inventory Control – tracking, documenting, and assuring that counts are accurate, and that parts are put in the right location. Maintaining organization of parts locations, and following inventory control procedures. Assisting with physical inventory of parts and cycle counts Reporting parts shortages to the parts manager Following all safety rules and regulations, assisting with safety inspections and maintaining a safe working environment Following relevant DOT and OSHA safety requirements, including required documentation and trainingQualifications:
Valid driver's license and safe driving record Class A CDL preferred or have the ability to obtain a Class A CDL Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling Ability to operate various motor vehicles to pick up, move and deliver parts Ability to operate a forklift Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including overtime on nights and weekends Following instructions and pre-established guidelines. Communicating verbally and in written form effectively as appropriate for the needs of the customer or coworkers Strong attention to detail Processing work with accuracy Completing required documentation and reports in a timely manner Providing assistance to others when needed Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet Basic knowledge of office machines, including copier, fax and printer Working effectively in a team environment Meeting commitments and deadlines Performing multiple tasks simultaneously Demonstrating openness to new procedures, technology and structureEmployee Benefits:
