Title:
Joint Current Operations Division Action Officer and SMEKBR Corporation is seeking a Joint Current Operations Division Action Officer and SME to join our team at Peterson SFB in Colorado Springs, CO. An active TS/SCI is required to be considered for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support to USSPACECOM Joint Operations Center (JOC) training and certification of General Officer/Flag Officer (GOFO) in the Space Attack Assessors (SAA) ProgramSupport real world space events which may require support to the Combatant Command (CCMD) during off hoursDevelop training resources and materials to conduct detailed JOC training and certification of GOFO Space Attack Assessors (SAA)Provide strategic level training for GOFOs to include National Command Authority, OSD, CJCS, and supported/supporting CCMD policies/proceduresProvide mentorship and/or constructive written feedback to GOFO after training events and exercises Maintain logs of training events and participants, ensuring certification and that SAAs are proficient and current in the SAA roleOrganize USSPACECOM Crisis Response with staff recall procedures, process and membershipSupport SAA and Battle Staff during training and contingenciesGenerate products to support SAA and Battle Staff situational awareness and decision cyclesCommunicate and coordinate with cross-functional teams and other CCMDs Write correspondence within applicable regulations to include general admin orders tasking orders, fragmentary orders and operation ordersQualifications:
Required:
An active TS/SCI is required to be considered for this positionCommand and Control background with five to ten years operational experience at CCMD or service equivalent major commandsBachelor's Degree or higher required; 15+ years relevant experience within the DoD in lieu of degree.Ability to identify and resolve challenges at a strategic levelAbility to brief/interact with GOFOs and senior civiliansPrevious experience on a Combatant Command, MAJCOM, HHQ, Joint Staff, OSD etc.Desired:
Previous space operations experience (5-7 years) is highly desired.Previous Operations Center experience is highly desiredPrevious targeting or planner experience is highly desiredCompletion of JPME I is highly desired, and JPME II is preferred.Work Environment:

Basic Compensation:
$110,000 - $125,000
This range is for Colorado only.
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
