Barbaricum is seeking a Joint Terminal Attack Controller Simulator Operator (JTAC-I) to support government training programs across a variety of locations in the United States and overseas. This role will require frequent travel and fieldwork in dynamic environments. ResponsibilitiesSupport government and military personnel at Special Tactics Group (STG), Special Tactics Squadrons (STS), and other AFSOC units by assisting in training, organizing, and equipping personnel for deployments in all physical environments.Deliver JTAC and SUAS instruction in classroom, simulator, practical exercise, and field conditions.Operate currently fielded and newly implemented simulators, including JTC-TRS, ensuring proper calibration, scenario execution, and equipment maintenance.Develop, maintain, and implement government-provided scenarios while adhering to service doctrine, instructions, and unit guidance.Provide simulator-based JTAC, JTAC-I, JTAC-SEE, and SUAS training, ensuring program compliance and proficiency.Report simulator status and discrepancies, including providing monthly status and usage reports.Accomplish minor software updates, load databases, and create scenarios as directed by the simulator help desk or unit requirements.Perform Range Safety Officer (RSO) duties, briefing personnel on range safety and ensuring proper conduct of training events.Track training progress, maintain records in both print and electronic formats, and provide updates on proficiency and upgrade requirements.Participate in virtual training and exercises as required by STG.Coordinate range and fires asset scheduling, briefings, and training event logistics with other organizations.Support or conduct no-notice evaluations for JTAC trainees, instructors, and evaluators.Operate and maintain specialized equipment, including SUAS systems, communications devices, and Battlefield Air Operations (BAO) equipment.Act as Opposing Force (OPFOR) during training scenarios and assist in emergency response and evacuation if necessary.QualificationsMust have possessed JTAC-I and/or JTAC-SEE rating within the last four (4) years.Minimum of two (2) years of SOF background or experience augmenting SOF as a JTAC for at least two cumulative years during operational deployments.Experience with simulator operations, including JTC-TRS or similar platforms.Proficiency in operating and maintaining JTAC-related equipment, including communications, SUAS systems, and night vision devices.Current SECRET clearance required with the ability to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance (current TOP SECRET clearance preferred).Familiarity with SRMS, CAS procedures, and range safety protocols.Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard office automation tools.Certified Range Safety Officer (RSO) or willingness to obtain certification.Frequent travel required, including international deployments.Additional Information
