Team Overview and Job responsibilities

We are looking for a Jointing Superintendent for our Business Unit Project who will be based in Milan, Italy. The jointing superintendent will report directly to Jointing and Land Installation Manager. The ideal candidate will manage multiple teams of jointers working on specific offshore and onshore sites (platform or vessels), nationally and internationally. He/she will cooperate daily with the Installation Engineering team. The sites will be based worldwide, so it is required that the Jointing superintendent will travel frequently.

Who are we looking for?

He/she will have the following main responsibilities:

Prepare method statements and other documentation necessary to carry out the works on site in cooperation with and under the supervision of Installation Engineering.Coordinate multiple teams of jointers working on specific sites to install timely with the best quality standards all the accessories required by the contracts.Plan the activities optimizing resources and tools assigned to the specific sites of accessories installation.Perform site supervision taking care of resources (personnel and assets), technical aspects, logistic and HSE management on site.Coordinate helpers (subcontracted) on site as required.Guarantee the compliance with internal rules and procedures during the entire process.Perform and coordinate the activities of the sheath testing on the cables, as required

Key requirements:

Knowledge of technical aspects and experience in cable installation activities on land sites is preferredKnowledge of technical documentation related to land cable installation is preferredKnowledge of drawings and basic design of cable and accessories is preferredLeadership attitude and capability to guide a team to reach a pre-set target is requiredGood relationship approach with Clients and subcontractorsProblem solving and target orientation, with attitude to manage properly priorities in coordination with ManagementAttitude to fast learning and self-commitmentKnowledge and familiarity with of all basic and common software tools like Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and Internet useEnglish written and spoken fluent, German will be considered a plusAvailability to frequent trips, domestic and abroad including offshore sites (on vessels and platforms)Availability to travel worldwideFlexibility and adaptability to changesDriving license
